Halloween Franchise Review!

Gonna try and get in the funk of things by reviewing some movies I've watched so far, don't expect actual reviews btw more like rating and just saying some words ell oh ell!
- first off, Halloween (1978) was pretty cool, I'd give it a 7/10 since it was well-made, though the effects are pretty dated and the sound quality and mixing was questionable and kinda bad in lots of parts, though idk if I can entirely blame them due to the fact it was made in the late 70's. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) was very pretty tbh...her hair and outfit? Immaculate, what a girlboss. Micheal Myers what pretty menacing and quiet though, and it was a tad bit funny to see him drive around, but also scary since he was essentially stalking Laurie and planning to kill her and her friends...in which he almost succeeds, but fails in the end. It leaves on a small cliffhanger, leading you into the next movie.
- Halloween 2 (1981) gets a 8/10 from me and I think it's a bit better than the first movie tbh! I like the whole hospital setting with Micheal picking off the staff one by one and in classic, slasher gruesome fashion; I feel so bad for Laurie someone get this girl a break ;-;! All her family and friends keep dying bc mister murder loves to kill n slash n hash! My only complaints for this one are that at times the pacing felt a bit rushed and I didn't rlly like the twist of "omg Laurie is Micheal's other secret sisters" or whatever, esp. when you consider director John Carpenter admitted he inserted it last minute when he was drunk in the writing room and wanted to have some fun with the script, which I cant fault him too much for; I also wished they focused on Laurie a tad bit more but I understand what they were going for.

- Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) gets a 5/10 from me; It honestly wasn't that bad of a movie, but it was a bit boring and lackluster imo, Micheal's niece, Jamie Lloyd, and her foster sister/caretaker, Rachel, were the main focus, but I found myself enjoying the Dr.Loomis scenes waaaaay more than the Jamie and Rachel parts. Micheal's mask was a bit odd looking here and also I'll admit, I dozed off or looked at my phone for a few scenes during this movie. I loved the end part though where Jamie is in her halloween clown costume covered in blood with a knife, It had nice parallels to Micheal's first kill and the first movie.
- Next we move onto Halloween 5: the Revenge of Michael Myers (1991), which gets a whopping 4/10 from me...The premise of Jamie being connected to Myers via blood and mind would've been interesting if they...you know...wrote it better and focused less on the side characters who were just your average drunk smoking radical early 90's teenagers who have sex and get drunk hiyaaaa!!!!! nothing wrong with those activities of course but it was all they really were....insert me dozing off or forgetting im watching a Halloween movie blah blah blah...insert scene here about kittens and stuff. Those cats were really cute and the best part of the movie. I barely remember much from this movie, I'm gonna be honest guys. It wasn't a dumpster fire, but it was more of a snoozefest with occasional kills sprinkled in and stuff.
- Then we arrive at Halloween 6: the Curse of Michael Myers (1995) which gets a 3/10 from me as well. I feel like it was better than the 5th one, to be honest, the idea of Jamie escaping with her baby from a Micheal Myers demonic cult sounds kinda cool on paper, but fell flat on its face when taken to the screen. Doctor Loomis appeared in this movie as well but I barely remember what he did except maybe sit and talk to the characters. This movie was pretty boring and uninteresting as hell...once the movie ended I went "wait it's over? Why? What even happened, it feels like it didn't even finish!" This movie feels like it ended so abruptly and with no resolution to the plot.
